Celebrating the Inauguration of the Virgil's Diary Website

A tired but excited Virgil happily unravels the all new Virgil's Diary website.

Virgil's Diary has finally returned to the internet after a hiatus for the past three years, heralding an exciting new era in Cameron Family and Wider Community communication.

I am please to announce that the long-awaited Virgil's Diary website is now functioning and in full operation.

This development of the website has been a long time in the waiting, and has consumed much of my time prior to and since returning from my overseas trip (see the articles on this site).

Much still needs to be done to fine-tune the website, and there is still a lot for me to learn about the tasks of an online editor and 'webmaster'. Indeed, I have undertaken this project with great enthusiasm as a means to understand first-hand the ways in which an online newspaper can function effectively.

In this vein, I would appreciate all feedback from you, dear reader, regarding the effectiveness of the website, and with any comments, questions, suggestions, encouragements, or criticisms that you may have.

This site will no doubt evolve and change over the coming months and years, and you have an important role to play in the future of Virgil's Diary.

This website is primarily for the benefit of the worldwide community that encompasses the Cameron Family and it's friends, relatives, associates and companions -- whoever they may be and wherever they may be in the world.

I hope that together we can build Virgil's Diary into an invaluable central hub of communication between the greatly dispersed community of our family and friends.

May the power of the internet inspire us to remain informed about world issues, and may the Virgil's Diary website inspire us to keep in contact and share our own valuable experiences with one another.

I look forward to hearing from you in the near future!
